The set is located near to the country town of Matamata. The Hobbiton tour itself takes about 2 hours. This is a visitor experience based at the original location where Hobbiton was created for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. A guide will escort you through their 10-acre site, recounting fascinating details of how the Hobbiton Movie set was created.
